backstory: Granite and Bluering are both the rejects of the family, but unlike Bluering who was taken for a fool, Granite's cunning side stuck out like a sandwing in water. she was sold off to Scarlets arena, in return King Gill would be sent back safely, but he was never sent back. Granite fell through with an escape plan fairly quickly after seeing Peril (who was in the middle of a match when Granite woke up from being knocked out). she befriended Peril, and got her to sit on her pedestal with her eventually. Granite flicked her chains onto Peril, melting off the chains around her talons before spreading her wings into a particular angle so she could cut the wing wire on Peril's horn and break out of the neck chain, before flying at a top speed towards the Delta.
When she got there, there was a group of guards filling up water cans which she caught the attention of one of. She must of been fairly humble compared to the other guards, because instead of ganging up on Granite, leaving her no chance of survival, the guard challenged Granite to a duel and whoever won got to do what they found necessary without the other one causing an issue, this is where Granite got all her scars from. after realising she didn't stand much of a chance on skywing ground, Granite started working her way over to the Delta before diving in and swimming as fast as she possible could. she was leaving a trail of blood, but she had a head start and there was a willow just over head where she could hide and tend to her wounds. the blood trail had faded away by the time the skywings showed up, they were flapping rapidly and were gone in an instant. i must have done a decent job if it took them that long to reach here. she thought. after that, Granite started exploring all the waters ways of Phyrria and started making a map of every place with a water location, so that seawing spies would have an advantage. She wanted to continue to help her tribe win the war even though they betrayed her.
